I was invited by the marketing team at the National Library of Scotland to produce a film for the launch of the organisation’s 2015-2020 strategy. I spent two days on-site at the Library, taking advantage of the fascinating collection that’s stored within 11 floors beneath the street-level building on George IV Bridge and at other sites around Edinburgh.

My approach involved filming pieces to camera with John Scally, the National Librarian, as well as various sequences and general shots. The latter were gathered in the Library’s main spaces and its hidden chambers, helping to ensure that we presented the right mix of historic publications, modern technology and educational exhibits.
